Coffee on an empty stomach (even black) can raise blood sugars. It doed for me. It raised by 10ml. So better to have it prior to eating to slow the absorption. It is a stimulant so it will tell the body to release glucose.

My A1C went up from 5.2 to 5.4 since developing IBS. I know it's no prediabetic stage but little by little it will creep up if you don't monitor. All the stress caused cortisol release. Now saw that coffee (even black) can increase blood sugar when drinking on an empty stomach. I finger prick to see what affects me. Doing intermittent fasting, sleeping 7-8 hours at same times, and cutting back on carbs to hopefully reduce bloating and cramping to help with my stress levels.

Not if you have had any kind of stomach surgery. I was put on Farxiga about 4 months ago and have had severe bouts of vomiting and diarrhea from it. I had my stomach stapled 35 years ago and I can feel my stomach get tight which forces me to vomit. Not only that, but it made me so weak I had to lay down on the bathroom floor to prevent myself from falling off the toilet. This happened about 4 tijmes over the time I was on it. So, I thought maybe if I try half a pill and at night rather than mouring, it would make a difference. Nope, I had the worst bout of vomiting and diarrhea and became incredibly weak. I spent about 10 hours being unable to get up. Yes, it did lower my BS numbers but it was not worth it to me and I refuse to take it anymore.

What about the BHT some of these cereals use as a preservative?

What should be sugar level after 4 hours of meal ? Mine is 131 after 4 hours of meal and After two hours its just 120. Is it it good or bad after 4 hours high?

I'm 265lbs AA male w/ type 2 diabetes. My BS avgs between 150-160, but i just started on Mounjaro after switching from Metformin (thank God MF was bad on my GI). However my dr also prescribed Jardiance 10mg. My concern is over some social media post claiming deaths over Jardiance linked to Fourniers disease. BTW, I was only on Metformin for 9 months. And i havent started taking Jardiance yet, just picked it up today.

Why do you pee more when starting the medication? Just curious. Does it slow down? I was on 25mg but this was too high and I virtually lived in the toilet now I'm on 10mg and it creeps up then comes down in litres. I almost wet myself in the car I had to stop in the park and run to the toilet. Does it calm down?
